Store in a cool, dry place, away from food and feed.
Store Planofix in a tightly closed container away from water supplies, seeds, fertilizers and eating utensils.
Keep out of reach of children, uninformed people and animals.
Re-entry – Do not enter treated area until spray deposit has dried unless wearing protective clothing.
Although Planofix is regarded as crop-safe on most important cultivars, this does not mean that a more sensitive cultivar might not be commercialized in the future. Where a new cultivar is encountered, large areas should not be sprayed without prior testing of Planofix on that cultivar.

Precautions

Do not inhale spray mist.
Wash contaminated clothing daily.
Wash with soap and water after skin contact. In case of eye contact, wash with running water.
Do not eat, drink or smoke whilst mixing or applying or before washing hands and face and changing clothes.
Prevent contamination of food, eating utensils, feed and drinking water.
Prevent drift of spray mist onto other crops, grazing, rivers, dams or other areas not under treatment.
When empty, invert the container over the spray tank or mixing tank and allow it to drain for at least 30 seconds after the flow has slowed down to a drip. Thereafter rinse the container three times with a volume of water equal to at least one tenth of that of the container and a
dd the rinsings to the contents of the spray tank. Destroy the container by puncturing and burying or burning it. Do not use the container for any other purpose.

Directions of Use

USE ONLY AS DIRECTED.
APPLICATION:
- Planofix should be applied during warm, dry weather, preferably during mid-morning when moisture or dew has had time to evaporate.
- Should rain fall within 24 hours a further spray application (on pineapples) will be necessary.
NOTES :
- Thinning of apples:
  1. Seek expert advice before using Planofix for the first time to thin apples.
  2. Apple tree reaction to chemical fruit thinners is dependent on many interacting variables such as the degree of flowering and fruit set, timing of applications, environmental conditions, cultivar, rootstock, tree age, tree shape, nutrition, size of previous crop, the use of other thinning agents and the chemical restbreaking programme used. Local knowledge is essential if the desired result is to be attained.
  3. For best results apply Planofix when the daytime temperature will be between 20 and 27 °C for the following three days. Cold weather (<15 °C) is unfavourable for fruit thinning and temperatures above 27 ° may result in overthinning or “flagging” of leaves. Do not apply if temperatures are expected to exceed 30 °C.
  4. The sequential use or tank-mix of Planofix and carbaryl-containing formulations (e.g. Sevin XLR Plus) must not be used on Golden Delicious types in areas where retiform russeting is a problem.
- Flower induction and promotion of uniform fruiting in pineapples:
  1. The application of Planofix should not precede natural flowering by more than a month. The optimum time for application varies according to latitude and variety. In the plant crop this will normally be between 13 and 15 months after planting and in ratoon crops, 11 to 12 months after the previous crop was harvested. Application to immature plants or suckers will result in small fruit sizes.
  2. Temperature extremes before application must be avoided. Ideal temperatures range between 15 °C and 24 °C and should never exceed 28 °C.
  3. Rapid growth following a cold winter season can reduce the normal efficacy of Planofix applications unless the abovementioned guidelines are followed. Evening applications of Planofix can be considered during problem periods.
  4. Do not exceed the prescribed rates of Planofix as fruit abnormalities can occur.

Mixings Instructions

SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE, REPLACE CAP AFTER POURING.
Thoroughly mix the recommended quantity of Planofix with clean water as follows:

Put approximately half the required volume of water in the spray tank.
Then add the required quantity of Planofix.
Top up to the volume required and ensure thorough mixing before application.
Do not leave prepared spray standing overnight.
If spray is prepared in a bulk mixing tank, always stir thoroughly before filling spraying machine.

Compatability

Planofix is compatible with Sevin XLR Plus (Reg. No. L5783).
Do not mix Planofix with any other sprays or adjuvants.
